New Bracelet for girls' rights

The United Nation Association of Sweden (UNA Sweden) and SNÖ of Sweden have launched a bracelet that is sold in benefit for UNs campaign for women rights.

In a collaboration with the jewelry manufacturer SNÖ of Sweden and UNA Sweden has produced a bracelet that will be sold for the benefit of the campaign "Flicka", which is a campaign that strengthens girls rights and opportunities.

-We are delighted that SNÖ of Sweden wants to make an important contribution for all the young girls around the world. The fund raised will go to stop child marriage and female genital mutilation, says Linda Nordin, General Secretary of the Swedish United Nations Association.

-This is the start of a long term collaboration with the goal to generate a revenue to the "Flicka" campaign, says Lena Jonsson Näslund, CEO of SNÖ of Sweden.

The new bracelet consists of natural crystals, pearls and a silver plated pendant on a piece of elastic to fit any wrist. Every third pearl in the bracelet is replaced by a crystal, symbolizing the one in three girls in developing countries who is at risk of being married before reaching the age of 18.

The bracelet can be purchased in the United Nations Association online shop and via SNÖ of Sweden's online store and at selected retailers. The bracelet will also be sold at special events. The price for the bracelet is 299 SEK of which 150 SEK goes to the "Flicka" campaign.
